Prayer for The Blanchard's

Please, if you would kindly storm heaven with and for us...we are so desperate for Mike to find a job. We are going on 6 months now and we don't have much left in the way of savings...he turned to two resumes today for jobs that he is absolutely and perfectly qualified for. We are beyond the point of discouragement and would so appreciate your prayers on our behalf.

Trusting the Lord with fear and trembling,

Kathi's Dad Update

Yesterday, Kathi's dad was still very uncomfortable in his legs. A lot of pain. He has had several procedures on his legs to open up the ateriers to improve blood flow. A week ago, his feet were feeling pretty good but his legs till hurt. This past week, he had the most recent procedure. On Saturday he was still uncomfortable. This morning he said his legs were feeling a lot better. Still don't know details, but that is really good news. He has been in pain for several years. Apparently the blood flow is nearly open except for a couple inches above his knees. Looks like they will be trying again in a week or two to finish all of it.

Thank You Father God for Your mercies and Your benefits to those who love You. You are the healer. It is in our weaknesses that your strength is revealed to us.

In Jesus' wonderful name! Amen

Kathi's Dad Update

This morning, Kathi's dad again had minimally invasive surgery on his legs to remove the blockage in his arteries. The procedure was only partially successful. They were only able to get 20% of the arteries cleared starting at his foot. Next step will more invasive bypass surgery. The anticipated outcome of all this surgery is to ease the pain in his legs so he can walk more.

Update

I thought I better update everyone on how my sister-in-law is doing. She had a follow up appointment this week and the doctor actually took her trach out, which he said he would "NEVER" do at the follow up appointment! She is so happy and we are rejoicing because she is healing well and fast! Thank you for your prayers!

Carissa

Kathi's Dad

Kathi's Dad, Stan, is scheduled for his surgery on Tues. at 6:30 am. He feels that if this procedure doesn't work, then he will go back to Dr. Murphy in St. Pete to have him do the more invasive Bypass. They are giving him major blood thinners between now and next Tuesday.

Father God,

You are our healer. Restore the circulation in Stan's legs so he can enjoy walking again. Guide the doctors and the others as they seek to use a less invasive method to unblock the arteries.

Mom's Cancer Update

Jean called to let us know that Mom has decided to go ahead with surgery to deal with the breast cancer. Apparently the latest tests show the cancer is growing. She will have the same surgery as her sister Donna.

Father in heaven, we know Mom's decision has been a difficult one. Give her peace and comfort knowing that she is in Your hands. As the time for the surgery approaches, continue to keep her in your perfect peace. Thank you Father that Jean and the sisters have been able to provide some support and encouragement. Guide the surgeons and other doctors and nurses so that the surgery is successful and without complications. We pray for a quick and complete recovery after the surgery.

Prayer for Marc Tarr

Please pray for our friend and business associate Marc Tarr from South Dakota. (This is not the same Marc in Minnesota who has been having heart health problems.) SD Marc is having personal issues that are impacting him, his family and business associates as well as his own business.

Father in heaven, we lift up Marc and his family and ask for Your supernatural intervention. Where there is injury, bring healing. Where there is discord, bring peace and understanding. Where there has been breach, bring foregiveness and wholeness. Devil you are rebuked and cast out of Marc's life and the lives of his family.

Update on Kathi's Brother

Again, not a lot of details... but, it appears Grant has been approved by the addiction treatment facility for a month long resident program. This has been an anwser to prayer as his pattern in the past has been to relapse fairly quickly once he was released from detox facilities.

The Lord's mercy endures forever and ever...

Marc Selness Update

Don't have a lot of details, but Marc's operation went smoothly and he was sent home that same evening. He is recovering at home with the loving attention of his wife, daughter and of the some of the in-laws. Apparently God had done most of the healing before the doctors even got to work.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow....

Prayer for Marc Selness

Our friend Marc is still having problems with his heart. Apparenlty one or more of the stints that were placed a few weeks ago is/are already blocked. He is lacking energy and not doing well. Today they are planning to find out what's blocked and make more repairs.

Father in Heaven, we lift up Marc during these procedures. Give him strength to endure the operations and give the doctors quick insight and quick and accurate hands to fix them. Please comfort Marc's family as they wait for the today's results.

Prayer for Kathi's Brother

Yesterday, Kathi and her Mom took her brother to a rehab center in Naples, FL The center specializes in helping people recovering from drug and alcohol abuse and addiction. The program lasts for 2 weeks. We are praying that this will be the spring board that begins his full recovery and reentry into productive society.

Father in Heaven, you know Grant's weaknesses and needs. Use his time there to give him the tools he needs to take the next step to recovery. Give Grant both the inner strenght to continue toward recovery and to trust in you with all his heart.

Prayer for the Blanchards

The Blanchard family is moving into their new (old) home starting today. The renters did not leave the home in good condition. Cleanup of debris and odors are top of the list before the family can unload their stuff from the truck.

Father God, Bring peace to the family as they tackle the chores of making the house ready, unloading, unpacking and organizing the house. Bless their cleaning efforts with a supernatural cleansing of the house from top to bottom, inside and out. Provide them adequate nourishment, rest, and supernatural engergy so they don't become exhausted or ill. Prevent any injuries from ice, snow or wet floors.

Grandpa Charlie Fisher

This request is from Mary:

Joel's Grandpa's heart medicine has stopped working and his body seems to be failing him. He has a clot in his heart that inoperable and so he might not have much time left and we are pretty sure he can't make it to the wedding. It is sad! He can't do the things he used to and he can't fly anywhere.

Father God, You know Charlie's condition and the time you have appointed for his return to Your side. If it is that time, comfort him and his family as they will miss him greatly. If it is not his time, I speak to the clots in the heart and say be removed. Arteries be opened!

Pray for Kathi's Dad

Kathi's dad, Stan, checked into St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg this morning. He was hoping to have stints placed in his legs to improve his circuation so he can walk without pain and fatigue. However, after lengthy tests, the doctors decided it would be dangerous to provide stints. It looks like he will return to his home without any work done. No one is sure what his options are.

Father,

Thank you for helping the doctors to make the life-saving decision. Give Stan and the doctors a plan for improving his mobility so he can enjoy his golden years.

In Jesus' name, Amen

Pray for Grant

Kathi's brother Grant was admitted to Manatee Memorial Hospital this morning. He was experiencing severe internal distress. After a day of testing he appears to have pancreatitis, a severe infection that could impact his other organs. He will remain the hospital a for at least a few days while they run more tests and provide treatment. Grant has other medical problems which are complicating his recovery.

Father in Heaven,

You are our healer. You know Grant's afflictions and frailties. You know what he needs for his healing. Bring his healing according to your plan for his life and according to your grace and mercy.

Update on Marc

Marc almost died yesterday. His heart stopped 3 times. Heidi Eatman had pains at the exact time and didnt know Marc was sick but she spoke out Marc is dying! Began interceding in prayer. Then called Nikki and asked if anything was going on? Nikki said her Dad was in surgery. Then later heard his heart had stopped 3 times. They think it was when the Lord spoke to Heidi. Marc is doing fine right now. He had 95 percent blockage. Keep him in prayer.

Prayer for a Former Neighbor

Peter and Ardy are former neighbors who still live Woodbury. Ardy has been struggling physically for some time and things are at critical juncture. Please joins us in prayer for Ardy and Peter.

Following is Pete's prayer request:

It is Wednesday morning and Ardy is sleeping, which is sometimes difficult to do in a hospital with all the staff coming and going, noises and other interruptions. I hesitated sending an update letting you know things are predictably difficult. Today is day five (since the transplant day which was day 0) and Ardy is feeling the continued impact of the chemo, the transplant, the medications for her infections, the medications to counteract the side effects of the medications, IV fluids, injections, etc... all while her blood count numbers are dropping. Having these predicable issues makes it somewhat easier but still difficult. Day 5 to day 10 are days her body needs to cope with all of this. Add the eyesight issue and the back pain and you have 'difficult'. We are hoping for a restful and peaceful 'difficult' day. It is without doubt that your prayers are lifting her(us) up.Every day I read to Ardy and she is encouraged by your notes, prayers and your support. Someday she will be able to read these on her own and she will be encouraged again. It seems every day we get a message from someone new who writes that they have been praying and wanted us to know. This is so encouraging. We also appreciate those of you who make entries more regularly. I hope that you get a sense of encouragement know that God's is working through so many people in this situation. The Lord is working through his people in mysterious and perfect ways.So keep praying: for strength, courage, faithfulness, peace, comfort, hope and healing. I would also appreciate your prayers for wisdom. There are a few decisions that I need to make in the next few days that require a wisdom beyond my own. -- Peter

Prayer for Aunt Janet's Dog, Sadie Sue

My dear Family/Friends....

I also ask for your prayers.... My care giver just came back from the 'vets' and was told that little Sadie Sue is diabetic. The vet wants me to give her injections twice daily. I don't know if I could possibly hurt her like this, OR have her put down.... I just can't let her go now. She's NOT in any pain, Thank GOD. So I will try and give her the injections myself, she will have to be taken back to the vets every week to see if the amount of Rx is the right one. I know that this will be very $$$$. I'll just have to tighten the already tight belt. I know that God can and will heal her, so please agree with me that He will touch her, actually all He has to do is say "Sadie Sue, you are healed of all of your infections, heart murmur and eyesight, I say this in My Fathers Name". So if you would please agree with me that God is going to heal her. She's not in any pain which I am so very thankful for. She is getting old though, as we all do, so I'm going to try and keep her going as long as possible. I love her so very, very much she is ALL that I have... I just can't let our little Sadie Sue go. I have steps, 4 of them, that she used to run up them to get up on my (ops, our) bed. Now, she just walks up them. also say one of your own prayers, for Sadie Sue. There are a lot of family and friends like you that know my little Sadie. This breaks my heart, even though she's 12 yrs. old and has cataracts. BUT, her nose and ears are working overtime, and again SHE NOT IN ANY PAIN! ! ! ! !......

Yet another update!

Hope you aren't getting tired of my posts! Here's the new update. Lori had surgery this afternoon, to help her breath, they did a tracheotomy. She has to stay in the hospital for 5 days so they can make sure she can eat and breathe and what not. Mike and I, along with 3 of our six children are flying to MN in the morning to take care of her girls. Our big boys are staying at a friend's house here in WA. Please pray for a complete and quick recovery, for well-behaved children, for my ability to run another woman's household and peace over-all! Thank you all!

Blessings,
Carissa

Update

A quick update...she is being admitted to a hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. We are her only family...parent's both gone on to be with the Lord. Her friend is staying with her daughters and finishing out the daycare day. Thanks for praying!

Carissa

Prayer Request-

Hi All!

I have another health prayer request for you...My sister-in-law has a paralyzed vocal chord, left over from cancer she had as a child...lately it has been giving her problems and they are suggesting surgery, this surgery will help with her breathing but will add a whole slew of other issues. She is a single parent and she runs a daycare out of her home and homeschools her own three daughters. You can see that her health is very vital to her at this time. She is on her way to the urgent care right now because she is coughing so much and can't catch her breath. They have her on some medication that is making matters worse. Please pray for her quick and complete healing! And please leave a comment to let me know you are praying so I can tell her what a wonderful family I have! You can email me if you would rather: carissa@wiserstill.com

Thanks All!

Much love to you!

Carissa
I can't make the spell check work or copy and paste from this silly page...forgive my mistakes. I'm in a bit of a hurry!

Praise Report

The doctors are not recommending radical surgery or chemotherapy at this time, probably just a lump ectomy. Mom's life expectancy has not been shortened because of the cancer. This is wonderful news and a credit to her faith, God's faithfulness and those who prayed. Besides family prayers, I am sure she receieved multiple prayers on her behalf from her church family.

May God be praised for his goodness.

Because Jesus lives,

Prayer for Mom

Last night we found out that Mom has been told that the results of a needle biopsy shows she has a cancerous tumor in one of her breasts. Naturally this is quite upsetting to her and the rest of the family. Knowing her sister had a similar problem and beat it does not calm her nerves. She will learn from the specialist on Friday about her treatment options.

Please pray with us as the Spirit leads for Mom's peace and tranquility through this and for a rapid and complete healing.

Father in heaven, You are our Healer. We pray that you cover Mom with peace and confidence that You are with her through this trial and that Your healing touch is but a moment away. Give the doctors wisdom to know the minimum amount of treatment that will be needed to get the job done. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Voice of America

A friend of the family is negotiating with Voice of America for cash and equipment that will help support his Christian radio broadcasting ministry in Africa.

Father God,

You see the need and that the fields of the lost in Africa are "white to harvest" and that the baby Christians are in need of consistently available bible-based teaching that are broadcast daily from Christian radio. Bless the negotiations for your glory!

Social Engineering

On the radio and TV, I heard that the economic stimulous package being considered by Congress has a lot of money for social engineering projects that appear to me to be contradictory to God's plan for His children. In addition they will neither save money or create jobs. One radio announcer asked us to call our Congress persons to protest. The bible, however, says we do not war against flesh and blood but powers and principalities.

Heavenly Father, we ask you to change the hearts of those in Congress who would develop programs and use tax money raised from Your children for pursposes contradictory to Your Word or that are otherwise wasteful. Make those who represent us in Congress faithful stewards of their responsibilities. Give them wisdom to know Your merciful will for this "one nation under God." Thwart agendas in Congress that are contrary to Your will.

In Your Son Jesus' name

your humble servant, Steve

Dedication

"And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, that you may be healed. The effective fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much." James 5:15-16

I would like to dedicate this site to prayer for our families, friends, neighborhoods, communities, governments, missionaries, etc. Prayers and answers will be posted that our faith be built for the glory of God.

If you have a prayer request or answer to share, either post it or send it to me and I will post it.

May this blog result in many prayers and answers.
